Hardship to Hope Food Relief Application

Metro United Way launched of the “Hardship to Hope Food Relief Fund” that will pay Kroger gift cards of varying amounts directly to SNAP recipients that have at least one child under 18 in the home or an elderly individual.

Applications will be open for all seven counties in Metro United Way’s service region on Friday, November 7 at 8:00 am. In Kentucky, that’s Bullitt, Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby counties. In Indiana, that’s Clark, Floyd, and Harrison counties.

    Distribution Schedule:
    Monday
    Deliveries for immobile families are from 11 AM to 2:30 PM. Please pick up at 2500 West Broadway.
    Tuesday
    Distribution starts at 12 PM and continues until supplies run out. Arrive early, as demand may be high.
    Wednesday
    Distribution will take place at 2234 West Muhammad Ali from 12 PM until the food is gone.
    Thursday
    Food distribution at Alberta O. Jones Park begins at 12 PM and continues until supplies run out.
